We are a Boutique Havelock Beach Resort with a unique perspective of the Islands, of the innate value for the luxury that is time and a calm, inviting atmosphere for our well-traveled guest looking for some serious downtime.
We are independently owned and operated. We are a proud, family run small business and what we count as amongst our biggest achievements are two major milestones- the first is that we entered the market in 2008 as newbies with a clear eye on what we wanted to delight our guest with- our little resort broke all local records in it’s first year of operations!
We can proudly claim to have arrived with a bang and forever changed the standard of hospitality on the Island.
The second achievement is our dedicated, loyal team. Our team members are 90% Islanders and have been from the founding day. Most of the original team members still continue to fill various roles in both our properties and this unwavering loyalty to the Brand, to us and to our amazing guest is what we feel defines us and gives us the fuel to run inspite of the many challenges.
We are a brand with emotion, Munjoh Ocean Resort, Havelock, Andaman was created with love and that is why it met with resounding success as back as 2010. Much later, unfortunately during Covid times, our second baby- Munjoh Island House – now rechristened Clarks Exotica Island House was born. It was a tough journey through the 3 years (tourism is highly seasonal here) of Covid lockdowns and aftermath and we are truly grateful to the support of our dearest team members, our loyal guests and to everyone who wishes us well.
We are still here inspite of the odds and we will continue to try our very best. To be the Best Resort in Havelock or to be the Best of all Havelock Island Hotels is not our goal, to be THE most comfortable resort in Havelock for the discerning few to enjoy a well-earned vacation- IS!
Our little Private beachfront Resort on Havelock is the only one of the Andaman Nicobar Hotels to enjoy all three- ancient woods, a talcum powder beach and a greenery laden Hill!
With close proximity to the town square and walking possible on either side of the property- beachside and Roadside make it a delightful home-away-from-home spot to relax at.
